മരണ വാർത്തകൾ - Obituaries

* മേലേടം പരേതനായ ശ്രീ. പി.കെ. ഐപ്പിൻ്റെ ഭാര്യ തങ്കമ്മ ഐപ്പ്(98) നിര്യാതയായി. മൃതദേഹം 22/04/2026 ഉച്ചകഴിഞ്ഞ് 3 മണിക്ക് ഭവനത്തിൽ ശുശ്രൂഷകൾക്ക് ശേഷം കോട്ടയം സി.എസ്.ഐ. കത്തീഡ്രൽ സെമിത്തേരിയിൽ സംസ്‌കരിക്കും.
* പീടികയിൽ പരേതനായ ശ്രീ. പി.കെ. തോമസിൻ്റെ(അച്ചകുട്ടി) ഭാര്യ മറിയാമ്മ തോമസ്( നിര്യാതയായി. സംസ്‌ക്കാരം 22/04/2026 രാവിലെ 10.30 ന് വസതിയിലെ ശുശ്രൂഷകളെ തുടർന്ന് പള്ളം മോർ ഇഗ്നാത്തിയോസ് യാക്കോബായ സുറിയാനി പള്ളിയിൽ( കല്ലൂപ്പറമ്പിൽ പള്ളി).
* ശ്രീ. മീഞ്ചിറ ജേക്കബ് മാത്യു(71) നിര്യാതനായി. സംസ്കാരം പരി. ബസേലിയോസ് മാർത്തോമ്മാ മാത്യൂസ് ബാവായുടെ കാർമ്മികത്വത്തിൽ പാച്ചിറ താബോർ ഓർത്തഡോൿസ് പള്ളിയിൽ നടത്തപ്പെട്ടു.
* ശ്രീ. കുരീക്കാട്ട് കെ ഐ തോമസിന്റെ മകൾ മോളി ജോൺ (79) നിര്യാതയായി. സംസ്‍കാരം പാലാരിവട്ടം മാർത്തോമ്മാ പള്ളിയിൽ വെച്ച് നടത്തപ്പെട്ടു.

A Very Special Relative of Edathumpadickal Family...

Sri. Oommen Chandy started his political life as a KSU activist and became Chief Minister of Kerala for two terms. He was not just a politician but a visionary, great human and philanthropist. In his autobiography named 'Kaalam Saakshi(കാലം സാക്ഷി)', in the first chapter titled as 'Aviraamam(അവിരാമം)', Sri. Oommen chandy narrates about his family Kaarottu Vallakkaalil and its legacies in politics and social works. In that part, Sri. Oommen Chandy talks about his father's sister Smt. Ammini Thomas who got married to Edathumpadickal Tharavadu in Pallom. Smt Ammini Thomas was an active member of Congress party and Mahila Congress and served as Nattakam Panchayat Member and later as Panchayat President. Smt Ammini Thomas and Sri.Oommen Chandy continued a warm relationship until her death in 2021. Another chapter titled as 'Vaanil ninnoru makudam(വാനിൽ നിന്നൊരു മകുടം)' is about his wedding. In this chapter Sri.Oommen Chandy describes that it was at Edathumpadickal Tharavadu, he met Smt Mariyamma @ Bava for the first time as the part of an arranged marriage system. Sri. Oommen Chandy lives in the hearts of millions even after death, always had a very close interactions with many members of Edathumpadickal family until his death happened in 2023. Smt. Mariyamma Ummen wife of Sri. Oomman Chandy remembers those days in an interview given to 'Vanitha' one of the prime monthly in malayalam.
